Although it took a long time for Keyshia Cole to jump, it all seemed to take off when she released “(I Just Want It) To Be Over” as a single.
It was strong and although previous songs and singles had done her justice, it showed the vocal ability and gusto that the label and fans initially saw from Keyshia. She took a break, had a reality show, was featured on the highly spun
Diddy record “Last Night” (which, by the way, has 10,000 remixes…), is also featured on the new Jeezy single and now it’s the right time for Keyshia to come back with some fire. Her debut album, “The Way It Is” was critically acclaimed. But can she switch it up? She surely has. And with features from Lil’ Kim (who is about to be on everything) and Missy Elliott (who also produced the record), she will not go wrong.
At first I was iffy when I saw the show title, and the features, but it’s really grown on me. Definitely what I like to see as a first single from Miss Cole.
Keyshia is fine, talented and ready for war.
