Amy Winehouse is a very talented English singer who won five Grammy's but couldn't be there because she was denied a passport.
The reason for the denial was because Winehouse and her husband are both on drugs.
Amy was rumored to have been in Rehab when she performed via satellite "I don't want to go to rehab".
Amy has somehow managed to create good music despite being high most of the time. The problem, I don't expect her to be around long if she can't get her demons under control.
Unfortunately, eventually she will be foud dead of an overdose in at her home or in a lonely hotel room. Once again depriving the world of her talent as many performers in her situation have done before.
Amy was denied a passport because she is not a good role model to the young and impressionable. Whenever drugs are involved self-destruction is a definte side effect.
The music industry is overflowing with examples of how drug usage has taken the music away from all of us. Hopefully Amy Winehouse will wake up an smell the Roses before it to late to wake up at all.

I have to be honest, I cannot understand why you would judge someones music based on whether or not they do drugs. Name ANY musician from ANY period and I GUARANTEE you they probably at least tried drugs a few times. For instance radiohead, who is said to have changed music forever with the groundbreaking album "ok computer". They were strung out on heroin and doing huge loads of DMT and Mescalin while they made that album. Do not judge music based on the drugs the artist was using, but rather on the music. I mean we can all agree Amy Winehouse is a moron as a person but I wouldn't judge her music just because she is strung out like a clothes line between two buildings in the bronx.
have you even read the whole thing? he's not judging winehouse's music based on her drug usage but he's pointing out the negative reality about drugs
First off. You should know that she was NOT denied entry into the US. The US gave her an entry into the US however, the Visa came too late. Thus why she was unable to preform live. And I hate to be critical, but the name of the song is, "Rehab" NOT "I dont want to go to rehab."
Secondly, with much criticism, it is well known that Amy has had her stuggles, they are known to much of the world. But do not let that hinder your judgement. I mean, personally when listening to an artist I try not to listen too much about what is going on in their personal life and ENJOY the Music for what it it.
While a lot can be said about many artists, a lot can also be said about people in the real world. Just remember, IF you were famous, would you be the devil's advocate?
