Nas And The N Word

New York rapper Nas has been in the news lately because he created a song which uses the N word.

A large majority in the music industry support his decision to record such a song, however, their are many of the older generation who will find the song quite Offensive.

The song is basically the use of the N word set to the Dr. Pepper, Jingle. What Nas has attempted to do was lessen the sting of the N word. The song says the N word so much that it supposed to become powerless.

While I give him props on his attempt to lessen the power of the N word. I do not think that those who grew up with the N word when it had the power to humiliate and intimidate will agree.
